A 20-year-old Manipuri student was robbed by three unidentified men when he went to buy a recharge coupon for his phone, police said Monday.

The incident took place in the Nizamuddin area in south Delhi Sunday evening. The Manipuri youth was riding his motorcycle when three men stopped him near the Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah.

They snatched his mobile phone and Rs.400 in cash and fled the scene. The victim called the police and reported the incident.

The police, who did not reveal the name of the youth, said they have registered a case and launched a manhunt for the culprits.
