Manish Giri roped in for 'Inside Edge 2'

Actor Manish Giri, who has worked in Hollywood films like "Interstellar" and "Fury", has been roped in for web series "Inside Edge 2".

The first season of the series "Inside Edge", backed by actor Faran Akhtar's Excel Entertainment, featured Vivek Oberoi, Richa Chadha, Angad Bedi, Sanjay Suri, Sayani Gupta and Sarah-Jane Dias.

"I am a big fan of Farhan Akhtar and I always dreamt of connecting with him some way or other. I was in Sydney shooting for an ad when Excel Entertainment called me and said we have a particular role in 'Inside Edge 2' and asked me will I do? When I got to know it's with all my favourite actors I immediately said yes and especially Farhan Akhtar production. It should mostly release in 2019," Manish said in a statement.

"Inside Edge" is an Indian-American web television series based on a fictional T20 cricket team, Mumbai Mavericks that plays in the Powerplay League (based on Indian Premier League).

It was also Amazon Prime Video's first Indian original series.
