Commuters to the city from Delhi faced unprecedented and massive traffic jams on all connecting routes Monday.
Traffic police officers said vehicular movement came to a standstill at Crossings Republik, Vijay Nagar, Chhijarsi, Shipra Sun City, NIB Crossing and UP Gate on National Highway 24.
National Highway 58 was also choked at Hindon Bridge and Mohan Nagar.
After a three-day holiday over the weekend, Monday was the first working day. Heavy traffic, rain and absence of traffic personnel led to the jams.
