Real Madrid are looking to give on loan Croatian midfielder Mateo Kovacic, who came in the last football season from Inter Milan for about 30 million euros ($33 million), news reports said on Wednesday.
Sports daily Marca reported on Wednesday that Real Madrid, with several options in the midfield which may be reinforced soon by Portuguese Andre Gomes coming from Valencia, will not require the services of Kovacic next season.
Despite the attempts of the Croatian, 22, to fit in with the Whites and prove his worth to French coach Zinedine Zidane, he ended up not offering much to the team and was not given many minutes, reports Efe.
The newspaper added that Madrid is looking into loaning Kovacic, wanted in many Premier League clubs, most notably Liverpool, as well as in Italy.
Kovacic is currently at Real Madrid's pre-season camp in Canada.
Although he was one of the internationals to play in the European championship with Croatia, he preferred to cut short his vacation and return to training.
