Alessandro Matri has joined Fiorentina on loan from AC Milan, the Florence club announced Wednesday.
Fiorentina on their official website released a picture of the striker putting pen to paper on his contract, which runs until June 2014, Xinhua reported.
Fiorentina are in dire need of a decent striker following their striking partner Giuseppe Rossi and Mario Gomez were injured, while Matri, who only moved to Milan from Juventus in August, struggled to settle in at Milan.
Matri, 29, passed his medical Wednesday and will be presented to the media in a press conference Thursday.
