Matt Smith still in love with Daily Lowe?

British actor Matt Smith is said to be still in love with ex-girlfriend Daisy Lowe and hopes to rekindle their romance.

The duo dated for 18 months before calling it quits in 2011 due to hectic work schedule. However, despite rumours of their patch-up, things did not get back on track for them.

"Matt has been back in touch with Daisy. He is hoping they will rekindle their relationship," dailystar.co.uk quoted a source as saying.

The 30-year-old, known for his role in television series "Doctor Who", has been shooting for the movie "How To Catch A Monster" and is trying to impress Lowe with his new toned body.

"He has been sending her photos of himself on set, as he looks completely different with his new skinhead. Matt told us he sent Daisy a string of photos of his sexy new washboard stomach and newly-toned body. We gather she was very impressed," a source said.

"He's also been hitting the gym and has been working out and training really hard for his new role," the source added.

Actor Ryan Gosling will also share the screen with Smith in "How To Catch A Monster".
