Actor Ewan McGregor has reportedly replaced Bradley Cooper as the main villain in indie western movie "Jane Got A Gun".

The "Impossible" actor has entered negotiations to play the main villain in the film, reports deadline.com.

The film, which stars Natalie Portman in the title role, has been struggling to hold down a confirmed cast since original director Lynne Ramsay walked away following a dispute with producers in March.

Being directed by Gavin O'Connor, the film centres on a woman who turns to her gunman ex-lover to protect her husband from a gang.
