Former Spice Girls singer Mel B isn't ready to call a truce with her mother Andrea or sister Danielle, despite their efforts.
Mel B moved back to Britain from Australia earlier this year when it was announced she would appear as a judge on the latest series of "The X Factor" but is yet to make up with her estranged mother and her sister, reports contactmusic.com.
Mel grew apart from her family six years ago after they labelled Mel's film producer husband Stephen Belafonte ''controlling'' and has had little contact with the pair as well as her father Martin ever since.
''Mel's family is keen to put past rows behind them - this rift has gone on too long and they used to be so close. Andrea would like to make amends, but Mel's not sure that she is ready," said a source.
Andrea, 58, even tried to reach out to the star on micro-blogging site Twitter to wish her a happy birthday when she turned 39 last month.
She tweeted: ''After 16hrs 59min labour a special little girl arrived still special to me 39yrs on happy birthday Melanie Luv MUM X.(sic)''
However Mel's family don't think a reunion will be taking place in the near future.
''A reconciliation is highly unlikely anytime soon," the member said.
