Former Brazil midfielder Michel Bastos has signed a two-year contract with reigning Brazilian football champions Palmeiras.
"I am here to tell you how happy I am to wear the Palmeiras shirt and I hope to help the team win titles," Bastos said in a statement published on Palmeiras' official website on Saturday.
The 33-year-old joined from Sao Paulo, with whom he made 123 first-team appearances after joining the club from Roma in 2014. Financial details of the move were not provided.
Capped 10 times for Brazil's national team, Bastos' career has also included spells at Feyenoord, Lille, Leon, Schalke and Roma.
He is Palmeiras' fifth new signing in the past month, following Alejandro Guerra, Raphael Veiga, Hyoran and Keno.
