Miley Cyrus is a weirdo: Half sister

Actress Brandi Cyrus thinks her half sister and singer Miley Cyrus is "a weirdo" and feels like she's always been teased for being Billy Ray Cyrus's daughter.

Brandi has criticised those who make fun of her controversial younger sibling and says she's down to earth, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

"I don't know why people like to tear others down to make themselves feel better. I don't know what it is but, yes, Miley is a huge personality. She's a weirdo, but she's so normal," Brandi told ET Online.

Brandi - who also has siblings Noah, 15, Trace, 26, Braison, 21, and Christopher, 23 - said she was often teased about her family as a youngster though, as other children used to make fun of her father Billy.

Asked about the biggest misconception about the family, she said: "For some reason, people love to hate a Cyrus. I don't know what it is, but I remember when I was a kid, and my dad was at the height of his success, all people wanted to do was make fun of me for it.

"I was like, 'Wait a minute. My dad is the biggest star on the planet and you want to make fun of me?'

"As I'm older now, I look back on that and that's just so insane."
