Two youths were arrested on Thursday on the charge of gang raping a minor girl in Gurugram, Delhi Police said.
Police said the girl's friend Manjeet Solanki, 26, and his neighbour Vikas, 27, took her to Gurugram from a West Delhi locality on the pretext of a joyride and raped her at a paying guest accommodation in the Haryana city on Wednesday.
"They offered her a cold drink laced with a sedative before raping her," Deputy Commissioner of Police Surender Kumar told IANS.
The girl's family beat up Vikas when the three returned to Delhi and informed police around 8.30 p.m.
After the girl, a student of Class XI, in her police statement accused Manjeet and Vikas of gang rape, the two were arrested. A medical examination of the girl confirmed rape, the DCP said.
