A six-year-old boy, who was missing since Tuesday, was found murdered Wednesday on the city outskirts, police said.
The body of Yash Raj Kumar was recovered near Peeran lake near Narsangi. Morning walkers who found the body informed the police. The boy's school identity card was also found near the body.
Yash, a resident of Ghode Ki Khabar neighbourhood under Mangalhat police station limits, was a student of LKG at a private school. His parents had lodged a missing complaint after he did not return home from the school.
Police suspect unidentified persons kidnapped the boy and after killing him, dumped the body. The killers also tried to disfigure the face and burn the body.
The boy's parents said they had no enmity with anybody. Police are questioning few suspects.
