The Delhi government on Friday launched a mobile app to enable citizens to pay their water bills online.
The android-based mobile app 'm-Seva' launched by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will also allow the consumers to check water consumption and generate previous bills.
"With consumers living a busy life, the Delhi Jal Board has provided them the facility through which they can pay their water bills 24X7 from the comfort of their homes," Kejriwal said at the launch.
Inflated water bills and faulty water meters were some of issues facing the DJB.
"A consumer no longer needs to stand in queues at DJB's cash collection centres or zonal revenue offices to pay their water bills; they can use this mobile app," Delhi Water Minister Kapil Mishra said.
