Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K. Palaniswami on Wednesday said a multi-disciplinary animal husbandry park will be set up in Salem district.
Announcing this in the Assembly, Palaniswami said the park will be set up on a 900 acre plot at an outlay of Rs 396 crore.
He said the proposed park will have an advanced veterinary hospital and modern cattle, poultry, domestic dog, bull breeds, sheep, goat farms to explain to the farmers about their scientific rearing.
Palaniswami said there will be a centre that would deal with refrigeration of milk, fish and eggs.
A business incubation centre will also be set up in the park, he added.
