Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday condemned the bomb attack on the American University of Afghanistan in Kabul that left a security guard dead while injuring over 20 people.
"We strongly condemn the attack on American University in Kabul," the Prime Minister tweeted.
"Condolences to the bereaved families and prayers with the injured."
Quoting eyewitnesses, news reports said gunshots and a blast were heard at 7.50 p.m. on Wednesday evening, when students of the university were gathering and eating together.
Immediately after, ambulances, security forces and rescue teams were on its premises. Gunfire was heard again shortly after the units entered the campus.
The attack ended early Thursday morning after the police killed two attackers.
