Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled the death of former Sikkim Chief Minister Nar Bahadur Bhandari who died here on Sunday afternoon and lauded his contribution to the state's development.
"Saddened by demise of Shri Nar Bahadur Bhandari. His contribution towards Sikkim's progress will always be remembered. My condolences," Modi said in a tweet.
Bhandari, one of the longest-serving chief ministers of Sikkim, died at a hospital here.
