Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday greeted AIADMK general secretary and former chief minister J. Jayalalithaa on her acquittal in the disproportionate assets case.
A statement issued by the AIADMK here said Modi spoke to Jayalalithaa over telephone.
Tamil Nadu Governor K. Rosaiah also greeted Jayalalithaa on her acquittal by the Karnataka High Court.
Union ministers Sushma Swaraj and Najma Heptulla too conveyed their best wishes to Jayalalithaa.
According to the statement, NCP leader Sharad Pawar, TMC leader G.K. Vasan, several industrialists, movie personalities and others also greeted Jayalalithaa.
