Prime Minister Narendra Modi held bilateral meetings with African leaders here on Wednesday and discussed various regional and global issues such as terrorism and UN reforms.
In a statement, the PMO said the prime minister met Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe, the chairman of the African Union and discussed issues of common interest, "including UN reform and the threat of terrorism".
During the meet, which occurred on the sidelines of the ongoing India-Africa Forum Summit, Modi discussed close bilateral ties between India and Zimbabwe and reviewed the preparations for the third edition of the summit, as Mugabe is the co-chair for the India Africa Forum Summit.
Modi separately met Ghana President John Dramani Mahama, Swaziland king Mswati III, Benin President Boni Yayi, Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari, Kenya President Uhuru Kenyatta, South Africa President Jacob Zuma, and Uganda President Yoheri Museveni.
