Prime Minister Narendra Modi's name stands for "Maker of Developed India", union Urban Development Minister M.Venkaiah Naidu said on Sunday.
Addressing the gathering after Modi inaugurated the Badarpur-Mujesar Metro Line here, Naidu spoke about the schemes taken up by his ministry, noting that out of 300 km metro rail network, about 200 km network has been completed in Delhi alone while work on 610 km of metro line was in progress.
Besides, laying of new lines measuring 620 km was in planning stage, he added.
Naidu also noted that Faridabad has been included in the "Smart City" programme and inclusion of Gurgaon was also being considered. He said that under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation, 20 towns of Haryana would be developed with the assistance of the union government.
