Modi meets former Afghan president Karzai

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who dropped in at Kabul on Friday on his way back from Moscow, met with former Afghan president Hamid Karzai.

"Long time friend of India, architect of bilateral relations, PM @narendramodi with former President @KarzaiH," external affairs ministry spokesman tweeted along with their pictures.

The meeting was held after Modi's address to the Afghan parliament, the new building of which he and Afghan President Ashraf Ghani inaugurated.

Earlier, Modi and Ghani held delegation-level talks over breakfast.

Modi also met with Afghanistan's Chief Executive Officer Abdullah Abdullah on Friday.
