Prime Minister Narendra Modi is to visit the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi on Aug 17 during his visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Modi, who is visiting the UAE on Aug 16-17, will visit the mosque on the second day of his visit, an external affairs ministry spokesman said.
The mosque is the largest in the UAE.
A large portion of the 2.6 million Indians in the UAE are from Bihar and many are Muslims.
Modi had visited a dargah during his visit to Turkmenistan in June, and a photograph of him standing at the shrine alongside two Muslim clerics tweeted a lot.
