Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric missed his side's training session on Tuesday, ahead of Wednesday's La Liga clash against Levante, after the Croatian footballer sustained a left ankle injury during Saturday's 0-1 defeat against Atletico Madrid.
Modric remained inside the facility and did not train with his teammates, while his participation against Levante is doubtful, according to the club's website.
However, French coach Zinedine Zidane had good news after the return of Welsh forward Gareth Bale to the group to complete his final recovery plan, reports Efe.
Accordingly, Bale will be ready for the second leg of the European Champions League round 16 against Rome at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.
Both injured Marcelo and Karim Benzema were absent from the training and will not appear against Levante.
Zidane called up Real Madrid Castilla players Martin Odegaard, Marcos Llorente and Borja Mayoral, who will travel to Valencia to replace Benzema.
