Switzerland international Josip Drmic has joined German football club Borussia Monchengladbach from Bayer Leverkusen.
Monchengladbach reinforced their offense with the signing of Leverkusen striker Drmic, who on Wednesday penned four-year deal, until June 2019, with the "Foals", reports Xinhua.
"We were interested in signing Josip Drmic last year. However, back then he opted for Leverkusen. We are now very pleased that we finally sealed the deal. Josip is fast and a prolific striker who will fit into our team," Monchengladbach's sporting director Max Eberl said.
The 22-year-old played for a year at Leverkusen where he scored six goals in overall 36 appearances. Drmic is since 2012 part of the Switzerland team. He scored three goals in 14 caps.
Monchengladbach completed the last Bundesliga season on the third place to earn a berth for the European Champions League group stage.
