Temperatures in Himachal Pradesh rose Sunday due to lack of rain. However, the monsoon in the state is likely to revive by Wednesday, the Met Office here has forecast.
"Moderate to heavy rainfall may occur at many places from Aug 6," an official of the local meteorological office told IANS.
Dharamsala, Kangra and Jogindernagar towns experienced respectively 52 mm, 23 mm and 4 mm rainfall till Sunday morning.
State capital Shimla and Manali saw no rainfall.
Meanwhile, Shimla recorded a high of 24.6 degrees Celsius, while it was 25 degrees Celsius in Kalpa in Kinnaur district and 28.4 degrees Celsius in Dharamsala.
