Montenegro welcomed the adoption of binding UN Security Council Resolution 2118 to rid Syria of chemical weapons, the government announced Tuesday.
"The resolution sends a clear message that the use of chemical weapons is a threat to international peace and stability, and demonstrates the commitment of the international community to adequately respond to the use of chemical weapons," reported Xinhua citing the government in a press release.
The UN Security Council unanimously adopted the resolution Friday night.
