Ecuador international winger Jefferson Montero has rejoined his original club Emelec on loan from Swansea City.
The 28-year-old will be tied to the Ecuadorian outfit until July after a disappointing loan spell with Spain's Getafe, reports Xinhua news agency.
"We can officially say that Jefferson Montero will return to Emelec ... after we reached an agreement with Getafe's directors," Emelec president Nassib Neme told reporters.
Montero, whose contract with Swansea expires in 2020, made just four substitute appearances for La Liga outfit and failed to score.
Capped 63 times for Ecuador's national team, Montero made his professional debut for Emelec in 2007 after being promoted from the club's youth ranks.
His career has also included spells with Villarreal, Levante and Real Betis.
