The hills of Himachal Pradesh will experience more rain and snowfall in the next three days, the Met Office forecast said Tuesday.

"There are chances of more rainfall and snowfall across the state from April 16 to 18," said a meteorological office statement.

It said the western disturbances - storm systems originating from Caspian Sea and moving across the Afghanistan-Pakistan region - would be active in the region from Tuesday.

Most of the prominent tourist towns like Shimla, Narkanda, Kufri, Kasauli, Chail, Manali and Dalhousie, located in mid-hills, may witness thundershowers, it added.

Bharmour in Chamba district was the coldest place in the state with a low of minus 2 degrees Celsius.

Shimla recorded the minimum temperature at 11.2 degrees, while it was 1.6 degrees Kalpa in Kinnaur district, 4.2 degrees in Manali and 11.8 degrees at Dharamsala.

These towns recorded the day temperature at 22.5, 16, 20 and 24.4 degrees Celsius, respectively.
