The national capital experienced a warm Monday with the maximum temperature recorded at 35.8 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average. Tuesday is forecast to be cloudy and some parts could see rain.
"The sky is likely to remain cloudy in the morning. Rain is also expected in some parts," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum and the minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 35 degrees and 29 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Monday morning was cloudy, but the day later was sunny and remained warm.
The minimum temperature recorded was 27.2 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average, while humidity wavered between a low of 56 percent and high of 86 percent.
Sunday's maximum temperature was 34 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average, while the minimum temperature was 26.5 degrees Celsius, normal for the season.
