More Tripura troopers for Bengal polls
More Tripura State Rifles (TSR) troopers will provide security during panchayat polls in West Bengal, an official said Sunday.
A TSR battalion led by Commandant Prabir Majumder has reached West Bengal. The home ministry has asked Tripura to send one more TSR battalion to West Bengal, a home department official here told IANS.
The five-phase panchayat polls in West Bengal began July 11 and end July 25.
