A mother and her three children were burnt to death in Uttar Pradesh's Shamli district on Friday when a fire broke out from a cooking stove, the state police said.
The accident occurred at Shahgazipura locality of Jalalabaad area, police said, adding that the thatched roof of the house caught fire and the gusty winds helped it spread.
Those killed were identified as Laxmi and her three children -- Aarushi, Aakash and Deepak. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.
