Madhya Pradesh's suspended Additional Sessions Judge R.K. Srivas has been compulsorily retired from service.

Srivas told the media on Thursday that he had been retired on the recommendation of the Madhya Pradesh High Court, in front of which he had held sit-ins for three days from August 1, 2017, and again for three days on August 26 last year to protest against his four transfers in one-and-a-half years.

He had claimed that his transfers were not as per the transfer policy.
