A team of Madhya Pradesh Police has left for Telangana to identify two suspected members of the banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) who were killed in a shootout with the police there, an official said on Sunday.
After the duo were killed in Telangana's Nalgonda district, police here suspect that they could be Mohammed Ezazudeen and Aslam, two of the seven terrorists who fled from Madhya Pradesh's Khandwa jail.
"A group left for Nalgonda on Saturday night for identification of the two suspects. They are also carrying details of SIMI terrorists. They will try to identify on the basis of finger prints and other means of identification," a senior police official said requesting anonymity.
