Muggy day in Delhi, rain expected Saturday

It was a muggy Friday in the capital with the maximum temperature settling at 34.4 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the year. The met office has forecast rain in some parts of the city Saturday.

"The skies will be cloudy tomorrow (Saturday) and light rain could occur in some parts of the city," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 33 and 24 degrees Celsius.

Friday's minimum temperature settled a notch above the season's average at 24.3 degrees Celsius. The maximum humidity was recorded at 88 percent.

Thursday's maximum and minimum temperature were recorded at 34.3 degree and 24.1 degrees Celsius respectively, an average for this time of the year.
