Filmmaker Mukesh Bhatt is so much impressed with director Amit Saxena-directed erotica "Nasha" that he feels it will be a landmark movie in controversial model Poonam Pandey's career.
"For her (Poonam) this film will be very important because the way he (Amit Saxena) will present her in the film, nobody would be able to do that," Bhatt told reporters here Wednesday during the first-look launch of the movie.
Saxena had earlier directed Bhatt camp's 2003 production venture "Jism" that featured Bipasha Basu and John Abraham. The success of the erotic thriller catapulted Bipasha's career and she entered the league of A-list actresses of that time.
Poonam, who made headlines during the 2011 Cricket World Cup when she offered to go nude before Team India if they won the trophy, is foraying into films with "Nasha".
Produced by Aditya Bhatia, "Nasha" revolves around an 18-year-old boy and a 25-year-old girl.
"I am confident that after this film, she (Poonam) will have a very bright future ahead," said Bhatt.
Reportedly, Poonam has even stripped for a couple of scenes in the film.
On being asked about such exposures by the actresses and newcomers on the big screen, Bhatt said: "There is nothing wrong in (exposing and showing off). If you have a beautiful body and show it, there is nothing wrong in it."
"Who are you and I to take any moral stand on that," he asked.
Bhatt feels that actors deliver according to the script.
"It's the need of the script and you are an actor, so you have to deliver what the script demands and that's what you are supposed to do," he explained.
"Nasha" is slated to release July 26.
