A 27-year-old man convicted for murder was arrested by police here for jumping parole, a statement said on Saturday.
Chanderjeet Kumar, who hails from Bihar's Supaul, was arrested on Aug 2 from near Pragati power station in central Delhi on a tip-off. A US-made pistol along with three live cartridges was recovered from him.
According to police, Kumar Kumar got married and moved to Delhi in 2005. Two years later he was arrested for murder in Delhi and was sentenced to life imprisonment.
He was granted parole on April 26 for a period of four days. However, he went underground and started to supply locally-made weapons made in Bihar's Munger to gangsters in the national capital region.
