The Giza Criminal Court in Egypt has confirmed the death sentence for Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group supreme guide Mohamad Badie and 13 others for violence, murder, incitement, terror and sabotage, the state-run MENA news agency said Thursday.
The incidents took place close to al-Istiqamah mosque, Giza, after the June 30 revolution last year that resulted in the removal of president Mohamad Morsi from office.
The final judgement will be issued Aug 30 after soliciting the opinion of the Grand Mufti.
The convicts include MB leaders Mohamad el-Beltagi and Essam el-Erian.
