Lyricist Na. Muthukumar on Tuesday said he would like to dedicate the best lyricist National Award for the Tamil song "Azhage" to the team of "Saivam".
This was his second award in a row. Last year, he pocked an award for his work in Tamil drama "Thangameengal".
"I'm very happy. The song is an ode to love and humanity. I dedicate it to the team of 'Saivam'," Muthukumar told IANS.
The track was crooned by 10-year-old Uthara Unnikrishnan, who won the National award for best playback singer.
Heaping praise on the young talent, Muthukumar said she was a natural.
"Not everybody coming from a music family is talented. Uthara is a natural. She breathed life into the song with her voice. I'm happy that she was honoured too," he said.
Uthara is the daughter of popular southern musician Unnikrishnan.
