Actor Naga Chaitanya-starrer Telugu coming-of-age romantic drama "Premam", an eponymous remake of the Malayalam blockbuster, will hit the screens worldwide on August 12.
"The makers have locked August 12 as the release date. The film is nearing completion and the makers are planning to unveil the audio in July," a source from the film's unit told IANS.
Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the film also stars Shruti Haasan, Anupama Parameswaran and Madonna Sebastian.
Chaitanya reprises Nivin Pauly's role from the original and the story is about the three stages of romance in the protagonist's life.
Produced by S. Radha Krishna and S. Naga Vamshi, "Premam" has music by Gopi Sunder and Rajesh Murugesan.
