Giving an ultimatum to the Congress over seat-sharing in Maharashtra, the NCP Saturday said it will not compromise its demand for half of the total seats, and asked the Congress to decide in a couple of days.
"We have heard that Congress wants to give us 124 seats in Maharashtra... We have conveyed it several times, we want nothing but 50:50 seat-sharing," Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Praful Patel said Saturday.
The Maharashtra assembly has 288 seats.
"The Congress must decide in the next one or two days, otherwise we will be late in the procedures for the polls," he added.
