The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) Tuesday launched a scheme to sanction building plans online.
NDMC chairperson Jalaj Shrivastava said people can now apply online for approval for building plans.
This will add to transparency in the system, besides minimizing the procedural time, he said in a statement.
"Easy checking of approvals will also reduce possible corruption," the statement added.
The file can also be seen by department officials, architects and citizens at any point of time, it said.
