Nearly 200 people, including 40 children, were admitted to a hospital in Bihar on Friday after they ate "poisoned food" at a marriage, a health official said.

The incident was reported from Phoolparas in Madhubani district, about 170 km from here.

Soon after having the food, they complained of stomach pain and started vomiting, a district health official said.

All of them were admitted to a state-run hospital in Phulparas.

The official said it is suspected to be a case of food poisoning and food samples and vomit samples have been collected for testing.
