Ace filmmaker Dasari Narayana Rao has bought the Telugu remake rights of the Tamil-Malayalam bilingual hit "Neram".
"I really liked the film. The entire story will unfold in a day, from morning to evening. I have bought the remake rights. My long time associate Ravi Kumar will direct it," Rao told IANS.
The film, which released in 2013, revolves around a series of events in the protagonist's life in a day. It focuses on good as well as bad times.
"It's a universal concept that good will be followed by bad and so on. We thought this premise is apt for a story in any language. The cast is yet to be finalised," he added.
Known for directing over 100 Telugu films, the 66-year-old is all set to call the shots soon.
"I was supposed to direct a film but it got delayed due to several reasons. I haven't dropped that idea and I intend to start working on it again," he said.
He will also be producing Telugu films "Vadikasulavada" and "Pitro Devo Bhavaa".
