The central government's new policies like "Digital India" and "Make in India" will take India to new heights, BJP MP Anurag Thakur said here Wednesday.
Speaking at the World Economic Forum, he said: "Since India has been preoccupied in solving its basic problems, we as a country couldn't think of future."
"Now the BJP government has taken over, we are moving ahead in solving our basic issues," said the three-time MP from Himachal Pradesh's Hamirpur constituency.
Explaining his point, he said the central government has launched Swachh Bharat Mission aimed at cleaning surroundings and targets to complete this in the next five years.
"At the same time, we have launched 'Make in India' campaign to make India a manufacturing hub. In the coming days contribution of services sector in India's GDP will slow down and India will have to focus on manufacturing to maintain its GDP growth," he said.
