The Aam Aadmi Party government on Monday announced that a new Inter-State Bus Terminus (ISBT) will be constructed in Dwarka area of west Delhi.
This was announced by Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who holds the finance portfolio, while presenting the budget for 2016-17.
"It is proposed to renovate and modernise the ISBTs at Sarai Kale Khan and Anand Vihar with world class passenger amenities during 2016-17. A new ISBT at Dwarka is also proposed to be constructed. 1,397 new Bus Queue Shelters are proposed to constructed under PPP mode," he said.
Apart from this, the minister also added that it is proposed to enhance one-time fixed subsidy for E-rickshaw from existing amount of Rs.15,000 to Rs.30,000.
Currently, there are three ISBTs in Delhi - at Kashmere Gate in north Delhi, Anand Vihar in the east, and Sarai Kale Khan in south Delhi.
