The National Investigation Agency (NIA) will probe the serial blasts in Patna, Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde said Wednesday.
"Chief minister of Bihar (Nitish Kumar) met me and gave all the details related to the blasts. He has written to me regarding handing the case to NIA. So, we are giving it to NIA," Shinde told reporters after the meeting.
Nitish Kumar said he also asked for the deployment of central forces in the state, keeping in mind the ongoing festival season.
"Bihar government has also cleared a proposal for setting up an anti-terrorism squad," he said, listing out various measures taken to increase the security after the Patna blasts.
Six people were killed and 83 others injured as seven bombs exploded in Patna Oct 27.
