The government on Wednesday rejected Congress party's allegation of vendetta in the arrest of Karti Chidambaram and said that the law is taking its course.

"The law is taking its course and the law must take its course. The CBI will explain all details. The government has no hand in the issue," Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad told the media when asked about the Congress charge after Karti's arrest in a case related to INX Media.

He said in such cases, issues are raised but evidence available against the accused speaks for themselves and not the alibis of the offender.
