Northern army chief visits LoC in Poonch, Rajouri

Indian Army's Northern Command chief, Lt Gen Devraj Anbu on Wednesday visited forward areas on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch and Rajouri districts, a defence statement said.

The statement by the Udhampur-headquartered Northern Command said that Anbu visited forward areas in Poonch and Naushera sectors, and reviewed security situation and operational preparedness.

He also commended all ranks for their dedication & professionalism, it added.

The Pakistani Army has been resorting to frequent ceasefire violations on the LoC this year, especially in these two districts.
