AAP legislator Vinod Kumar Binny Wednesday said he was not upset on being denied a cabinet berth and the party's founder leader Arvind Kejriwal too denied a rift.

"I am not upset and I have not given any statement. This false news has been spread by the media. We are a true democratic party. If I was indeed upset I would have said it," Binny told a news channel.

According to sources, the two-time councillor was upset over the Aam Aadmi Party's decision of not including him in the list of ministers and left the party's meeting midway.

"I never left the meeting midway. When I was leaving some reporters asked me questions and I just asked them to wait for today's (Wednesday) press conference. They assumed that I was holding a separate conference," he said.

"The party has an eye on the Lok Sabha polls and maybe they want me to play some other role," he added.

AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, who will become the chief minister of Delhi, too denied any rift with Binny.

"Binny had met me in the evening (Tuesday) and informed me that he did not want any post. He told the same thing to the media as well," Kejriwal said.

The AAP has sent the names of six legislators - Manish Sisodia, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Somnath Bharti, Rakhi Birla, Satyendra Jain and Girish Soni - to Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung for inclusion in the cabinet.

AAP, which netted 28 seats in the 70-member Delhi assembly, is all set to form the government with support from the Congress that bagged eight seats. The BJP, which emerged as the single largest party with 31 seats, decided not to form the government.
