Now a Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare: PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Saturday that the agriculture ministry will now be known as Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare.

In his Independence Day speech from the Red Fort, Modi said that welfare of farmers was as important as growth of agriculture.
