Passengers on the Airport Express line who wish to board the Delhi Metro train from the New Delhi Metro station can now purchase tokens and smart cards from the Airport Metro station, Metro authorities said Monday.
"The Delhi Metro from today (Monday) started operating an exclusive token counter at the Airport Metro station of the Airport Express Line to sell tokens and smart cards for onward journey from the New Delhi station of the Yellow Line to other Metro lines," a Delhi Metro statement said.
The Yellow Line operates from HUDA City Centre in Gurgaon to Jahangirpuri in north Delhi.
The statement said this will help save time and facilitate a smoother travel experience as passengers will no longer have to queue twice to purchase tokens - first at the Airport station and then at the New Delhi station.
